Respect and Maintain Your Armour

Your premier armour is far more than a mere accessory—it is your protection, your strength, and a vital component of your success. Treat it with the highest level of care and respect: proper maintenance is essential for its performance. Neglect or careless use could compromise not only your protection but also your entire mission. Always handle your gear with care.

BJJ Gi Care & Cleaning

• Cold Wash Only: To preserve durability and minimise shrinkage, wash your Gi at 30°C or below.
• No Belt Included: Please note that Gis are sold without belts; earning and purchasing your belt separately is part of the journey.
• Shrinkage Warning: Expect a slight reduction in size—typically between 1-4%—so consider this when selecting your size.
• Avoid Harsh Detergents: Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as they weaken fibres and shorten the lifespan of your Gi.
• Hang Dry: Tumble drying is not recommended because it may cause excessive shrinkage and damage the fabric.
• Wash After Every Roll: A clean Gi is a mark of discipline and respect; regular washing prevents bacteria build-up.
  
  
  

Boxing Gloves Care & Cleaning

• Air Them Out: After every session, open your gloves to let them breathe—moisture can foster bacterial growth.
• Wipe and Dry: Use a dry cloth to remove sweat from both the inside and outside of your gloves, protecting the lining from damage.
• Keep Them Stuffed: Fill your gloves with newspaper or use specialised deodorising inserts to absorb excess moisture and prevent odour.
• Disinfect Regularly: Apply a light antibacterial spray once a week to keep your gloves hygienic and free from harmful germs.
• Hand Wash Only: Avoid machine washing; water may weaken the padding and stitching, so always clean them by hand.
• Proper Storage: Store your gloves in a cool, dry place away from gym bags or cars to ensure they remain in optimal condition.
